HYDRA project participated to the European Geoscience Union (EGU) General Assembly 2026 from May 3rd to the 8th, 2026, in Vienna (Austria). Ye Wang from Lancaster University participated to the event on behalf of HYDRA consortium presenting the project during an oral session.

Ye gave an oral talk entitled “Future projections of hydrogen soil uptake, atmospheric concentrations, and impacts on air quality” to present parts of the results from the HYDRA project, focusing on the uncertainty analysis and future changes in the soil uptake of hydrogen, which will be a good foundation for the further  modelling tasks in the coming months.

The EGU General Assembly 2026 welcomed 22,497 registered attendees, of which 20,027 made their way to Vienna from 125 countries and 2,470 joined online from 107 countries.
